?Two brothers were killed and two men are fighting for their lives today after their car slammed into two others parked in a Walsall street.

The 23-year-old driver of a Subaru Impreza, named locally as Asif Javed, and his 18-year-old brother Naveed Aslam, died in last night's crash in West Bromwich Road, Delves, Walsall.

Two teenagers, thought to be aged 17 and 18, suffered multiple injuries in the accident, which happened between the junctions of Brockhurst Crescent and Fullbrook Road shortly before 9pm.

West Midlands Police said officers arrived to find the men seriously injured inside the car.

The driver was pronounced dead at the scene.

An 18-year-old was taken to Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham, but died shortly after arrival.

Their two friends are critically ill at Walsall Manor Hospital today.

Police say all four are from the Walsall area.

Sgt Ferris Hatheson, from the force's collision investigation unit, said: "Two young lads have lost their lives in this collision and their relatives and friends are obviously shocked and devastated by last night's events.

"Our thoughts are with them.

"We appeal for any witnesses who were in the area, or who may have seen the car travelling in the vicinity to come forward and help the investigation.

"In particular, we are keen to hear from the occupants of a small hatchback car that is believed to have been travelling along the road around the time of the collision."

West Bromwich Road, the main route between Walsall and West Bromwich, was closed to traffic between Greenside Way and Bescot Retail Park until 3am. Fans leaving Banks's Stadium last night were caught up in queues.
