It is currently the most expensive house listed for sale in Cannock on internet property site rightmove.co.uk and has a price tag of £925,000.

He has lived in the house for the last six years but is now considering relocating as part of efforts to build his career in the media as much of his recent work has been based in London.

The detached house is in a secluded private cul-de-sac and boasts five bedrooms, three with en-suites, and also has a triple garage.

The house, being sold through Cannock-based R&S Property Services, is tucked away in Shirewood, a gated street off New Penkridge Road, and is just a stone's throw from picturesque Shoal Hill Common.

Paul Mace, spokesman for Mr Collymore, said: "Stan has a great affinity with Cannock and has been based there throughout his professional career so it will always be close to his heart.

"Stan is not ruling out staying in the Midlands but is considering his options in terms of relocation."

In May, he told magistrates he now earns only £18,000 and had no savings.

The revelation came via a means form submitted to magistrates in Burton where he was due to appear for driving at 40mph in a 30mph zone in Stafford.

His football career took in clubs including Liverpool and Aston Villa.
