It is a very ordinary industrial unit on the edge of a West Midlands town – but it has become home to one of Britain's most popular TV programmes.

The latest series of Channel 5’s The Gadget Show is being filmed on a business park near Kidderminster..

The show is using creatvie agency drp’s 212 studios in Hartlebury.

Now in its 26th series, The Gadget Show launched in 2004 and has aired more than 300 episodes focusing primarily on consumer technology. Craig Charles, Georgie Barrat, Jon Bentley and Ortis Deley currnetly present the tech series.

The Gadget Show is produced by North One Television – one of the world’s leading producers of entertainment, factual, digital, sport and live event programming.

Drp's studios are at its 4.2-acre head office and studios on the Ikon Trading Estate.

It is the largest corporate creative production facility of its kind in the UK and includes eight fully equipped edit suites, three large state-of-the-art studios, digital innovation labs, a dedicated print facility, 3D projection cinema, construction centre, contemporary design suite, and meeting spaces.

Dale Parmenter, drp’s chief executive, said: “It is a real privilege to work with North One Television in their production of The Gadget Show, which has been one of the U.K.’s most loved television series for the past 13 years. Our 212 complex is really being seen as a centre for creative communications at all levels.”

Last year, the 212 production facility was extended, which has enabled drp to take on projects and clients such as The Gadget Show. There are plans to further extend the complex in 2018, particularly with the expansion of services such as digital design and motion graph.

The next episode of The Gadget Show is being shown on Channel 5 on Friday, November 3 at 7pm.
