Popular Tettenhall hotel celebrates successful year

Staff at a popular Wolverhampton hotel are celebrating a successful year after being nominated for 11 awards during 2019.

The Mount Hotel Country Manor, in Tettenhall, took home the awards for MDFH Best Hotel in the West Midlands 2019, Black Country Chamber Large Business 2019, and The Most Outstanding Luxury Hotel 2019 West Midlands LUX Award.

The hotel also gained recognition as a finalist in the TWIA regional Wedding and Entrepreneur of the Year MBCC Awards.

Along with taking home a number of awards throughout 2019, the Mount also increased its Merit Score by five per cent, following a scheduled AA inspection – cementing its place as a 80 per cent four star property, one of the highest ratings across the country.

The hotel's restaurant, the Drawing Room Bar and Grill, was presented with the Good Food Award Best Restaurant West Midlands 2019 award.

And for 2020, the Mount Hotel Country Manor has already been nominated for two awards – West Business Family Business of the Year 2020 and the Midland Business Award Service Provider 2020.

The Bernard family has invested around £7 million into the purchase and redevelopment of the Mount Hotel and the property has undergone an upgrade over recent years. years. All 67 of the hotel’s rooms have been fully refurbished, with the addition of six new suites and five junior suites. A state-of-the-art gym has been added – with plans to develop a spa.
