Schadenfreude very nearly had a perfect night at Fight Club: PRO’s latest show.

Just before intermission, Mark Davis retained his title against Clint Magera after powerbombing his opponent from the ring apron into a table on the outside.

Incredibly, that may not have been the worst punishment Magera suffered in the match, with Davis also slamming him backfirst into two metal chairs from the top rope.

Davis would get to celebrate his stablemates winning the tag team titles, with Kyle Fletcher and Chris Brookes defeating champions Davey Vega & Mat Fitchett in a very good main event.

The victory came after an almost baroque burst of cheating, with Brookes removing the ring bad to distract the referee before lowblowing Vega, then throwing them to one side of the ring so their manager Kid Lykos could hit him with a baking tray and to the other side of the ring so Fletcher could hit him with the title belt.

Lykos and Brookes would both take the microphone to boast about the victory, and the Schadenfreude stable now controlling all the promotion’s titles.

Their gloating would be brought to an early end when WWE UK Champion Walter made a surprise return to Fight Club: PRO for the first time since he had been defeated by Davis back in February.

Walter laid waste to all four members of Schadenfreude before posing to the cheers of the fans in attendance. Brookes would feel the worst of the beatdown, breaking his teeth to the extent that he had to cancel an appearance in Manchester today, due to needing to make an emergency trip to the dentist.

Elsewhere on the card, Birmingham’s Dan Maloney secured a huge victory over WWE superstar Ilja Dragunov in the semi-main event.

Fresh off his huge performances over the Easter weekend, Maloney received a huge reaction from the local crowd.

Whilst there were a few travelling fans who supported Dragunov, Maloney was the fan favourite through most of the match.

This was a highly physical match, with both men laying in hard strikes and chops. The show opened with a similarly physical match in the opening match, with Travis Banks submitting debuting American pro-wrestler Jake Atlas.

There were some big moves during the match, with Banks hitting both a T-Bone Suplex and Michinoku Driver from the top-rope. This was Travis Banks’s first singles match in Fight Club: PRO since he injured his shoulder against Kyle Fletcher back in July.

In the other featured match on the card, WWE UK Women’s Champion Toni Storm defeated the young Irish pro-wrestler Valkyrie.

Fight Club: PRO returns to The Hangar on Friday 28th June. Hangover Part 2 will shortly be available as part of the Fight Club: PRO Unlimited Streaming Service, or to purchase separately as a DVD or Video-on-Demand.
