New flights from Birmingham to Morroco in October

New flights to Morroco are taking off from Birmingham this autumn. Air Arabia Maroc is launching a new service connecting the West Midlands with Agadir.

Air Arabia Maroc will fly from Birmingham to Agadir twice a week from October

The twice weekly scheduled service from Birmingham Airport to the Moroccan city will start from October 1, operating on Tuesdays and Fridays.

Adel Al Ali, group chief executive officer of Air Arabia, said: “We are pleased to link Birmingham to our base in Agadir with direct weekly flights.

"Birmingham is the latest city to join Air Arabia Maroc's ever growing destination network in the United Kingdom and Europe offering customer a wider choice for affordable air travel.”

Tom Screen, Birmingham Airport’s acting aviation director, said: “We are really pleased to welcome Air Arabia Maroc to Birmingham Airport. This new service to Agadir will be popular with holiday makers seeking sun and great beaches anytime of the year.

“Agadir is a gem on Morocco's coastline with spacious streets, palm-lined boulevards and stunning beaches and so it makes a great addition to the choice of destinations from our Midlands airport.”

Air Arabia Maroc, which was established in April 2009, is Morocco’s largest low-cost carrier and part of the Air Arabia Group. It currently operates flights to 53 European routes from six cities in Morocco: Casablanca, Fez, Tangier, Marrakech, Nador and Agadir.

Agadir is a major touristic city in Morocco known for its pleasant climate and a 10-kilometre (six mile) long seafront offering visitors an impressive experience.

Birmingham to Agadir

Tuesday: Departure 20.40 – Arrival 00.35

Friday:Departure 12.10 – Arrival 16.05

Agadir to Birmingham

Tuesday: Departure 15.55 - Arrival 19.50

Friday: Departure 07.25 – Arrival 11.20
