Enville Street Dramatic Society will be performing a production of "Verdict" by Agatha Christie, a thoughtful piece which deals with the human experience.

The group will perform the play, which looks at the relationships the main character Karl Hendryk has with the women in his life and the destructive effect love has on him.

Director Wendy Hemming and the cast were out in Stourbridge promoting the production, which will take place from March 25 to 28 at Holy Trinity Amblecote Church Hall.

Wendy spoke about the planned performances and hoped the audience would enjoy the journey the play would take them on.

She said: "The play is a very emotional piece and the cast have gone through all the emotions while rehearsing it.

"We hope we can give the audience a great show as it was been very rewarding to put something like this on."

The society has performed in and around Stourbridge for more than 70 years, putting on two plays a year.

Wendy said the cast had been rehearsing since September and were looking forward to putting on a show.

She said: "We have a very appreciative audience, who always come and support us in great numbers.

"It's certainly been a play we can sink out teeth into and the cast have become very close because the play is so emotional."

"Verdict" takes place at Holy Trinity Amblecote Church Hall, 4 The Holloway, Amblecote, Stourbridge from March 25 to 28.

Tickets cost £10 or £7 for concessions and can be booked at ticketsource.co.uk/enville-street-dramatic-society
