Stafford’s Gatehouse Theatre is set to rock again with the return of one of last year’s most successful shows.

The Real Full Monty, a night of variety acts with the finale of a set of local men and women recreating the famous routines for charity, sold out two nights at the theatre last March and raised over £31,000 for research into immunotherapy cancer treatments at The Royal Marsden Hospital in London.

This year a whole new set of locals have stepped forward to dance, raising money for four Stafford based charities. Those set to benefit are ‘A Child of Mine’, ‘Childhood Cancer Parents Alliance’, ‘Samaritans Stafford’ and ‘Andy’s Man Club’.

Organiser Rich Tomkinson said: “The response last year was overwhelming, we knew straight away we wanted to do it again.

"We really want to help local charities this year and we’ve shifted our focus. Last time was all about cancer, this year we’re helping charities for children with cancer. Also, we’re seeing too many reports of male suicide so we want to raise awareness for men’s mental health.

"We sold out two nights last year, this time the Gatehouse have given us three nights free of charge. If we sell out again it will do amazing things for these local charities.”

The Real Full Monty 2020 will be on May 21, 22 and 23. Tickets are available from the Gatehouse box office or by visiting the website staffordgatehousetheatre.co.uk
