The famous pair – Tommy Cannon and Bobby Ball – played hilarious Chinese policeman Sergeant Washee and PC Wishee respectively in the Grand Theatre's 1997 pantomime Aladdin.

They got together in Wolverhampton in December to officially launch panto season in the West Midlands, posing here for the Express & Star.

Cannon, now 80, and Ball, aged 75, have been a well-known television duo since the 1970s.

As well as presenting their own series since 1979, they have also guested on major shows including Wogan, Parkinson, Sunday Night at the Palladium, and several Royal Variety Shows.

They have also been involved in plenty of theatre and pantomime productions – with Aladdin at Wolverhampton being a true highlight.
