Wallace and Gromit screening with live orchestra coming to Birmingham

Join iconic duo Wallace and Gromit at a unique screening event in Birmingham.

The event will see Wallace and Gromit's Musical Marvels screening to an audience at the city's Symphony Hall complete with a live orchestra.

The film will see Wallace prepare to perform his musical masterpiece, My Concerto in Eee Lad, with help from his faithful canine companino Gromit.

This interactive experience features specially created animations as well as live orchestral accompaniment from the Picture House Orchestra and presenter Matthew Sharp.

This will be followed by a screening of the Academy Award-winning Wallace and Gromit: The Wrong Trousers with the soundtrack performed by the orchestra live on stage.

The venue has also teamed up with Aardman, the creators of Wallace and Gromit, to offer model making workshops.

Visitors will be able to learn from experts how to create their own Gromit as well as animating it using Aardman's Animate It! software.

You’ll also get the chance to ask questions about Aardman Studios from one of their expert model makers, learning about the animation processes involved in their films.

All materials are provided and you’ll be able to take your masterpiece home with you, along with an Aardman Model Maker certificate.

This event is suitable for ages 7 and above. All children must be accompanied by an adult. Both adults and children must have a ticket to attend.
