The 21-year-old, who comes from Halesowen, will star in About Jack – a new play written by Stourbridge actor Esther Stanford.

He will perform in the production after his role in BBC's hit drama series as Ryan Pilkington.

Gregory will star alongside Rebecca Fuller. who both took their steps into stage and screen through Esther's Stourbridge-based Dramaworkshop.

They will star alongside Esther when the play opens at the Midlands Arts Centre in Birmingham on June 7 and later at London's New Diorama Theatre on August 16.

The play follows the story of Jack, who lives a simple life with his mother – a life which changes when he meets Lauren.

Esther said: “I am very excited about this play.

"The team working on it are the best of the best and I feel very fortunate that we get to tell this story.

“It’s funny and it might just break your heart a little too. It’s a story about love, loss and growing up – whatever age you are.”
