Abu Bakr Boys' School in Walsall took part in the 'Game On' project, which was delivered by Reveal Theatre Company. A spokeswoman for the project said: "'Game On' is delivered to any secondary school year groups and participating students are led through a programme of work that uses theatre technique, presentations and discussion that enable the young people to, through the project, develop an understanding and knowledge that will provide them with an awareness to challenge racism, extreme views and beliefs that could destroy the cohesive community in their school and their surrounding communities.

"The students are given an understanding through the work of historical context of racism, religion and extremist organisations, connected to both Far Right and Islamist ideologies.

"With Reveal’s experienced practitioners the students learn to 'unpick' these extreme ideologies and the consequences of accepting a view or belief without understanding - whose truth, is it?"

The project helps pupils to recognise internet and social media pressures relating to extreme views, ideologies and organisations that use race, religion and national identity to divide young people.

The company works with groups of between 20 and 30 pupils at a time.
