Halesowen’s Startime Variety perform Cinderella in memory of late member
People can lose themselves in a world of fairytales as the pantomime of Cinderella takes to the stage in the Black Country today.
Halesowen’s Startime Variety will be performing Cinderella at Netherton Arts Centre in Dudley for five days in memory of late society member Mike Clifford.
It has been written and produced by Startime member Tina Lily and due to include original new characters Jazz and Hans, Giselle, Fairy G, and ugly stepsisters Gorgon and Zola.
Jeanette Greenway, who plays the part of a town crier in the pantomime, said the cast had been rehearsing for the show since September.
"It's going to be brilliant," she said. "We have a boot instead of a glass slipper, songs from the Greatest Showman, and lots of new people performing.
"It's an original script and is set to be lots of fun - good for all the family."
Olivia Chester will take on the role of a young Cinderella, with Amelie Alderson playing the main role and Gemma Mills starring as the Prince.
Tickets for the show, which runs from today to Sunday, January 20 are available at seaty.co.uk or by calling 07901 055685.
