Doreen Tipton is living the dream on stage in Wolverhampton Grand panto - with VIDEO and PICTURES

Self-professed ‘lazy cow’ Doreen Tipton has never been busier – and she confesses to be having the time of her life.

She steals the show in Wolverhampton Grand Theatre’s production of Sleeping Beauty.

And today she told how she is loving working along stars Debbie McGee, Richard Cadell and Sooty.

Doreen joined Debbie and Richard in a visit to the Express & Star, where they spoke about the joy of panto and their particular affection for the Grand Theatre and its backroom staff.

Doreen said: “Everyone’s been marvellous. It is a great fun and I love every performance. And the lovely Debbie McGee is, quite simply, a wonderful human being.”

The cast and crew of Sleeping Beauty were back at work yesterday after a day off for Christmas Day.

Richard, who is a veteran of panto with sidekick Sooty, says he is loving being at the Grand, declaring: “This is the happiest show I have ever worked at. Everyone is so friendly.”
