Jingle Hells is part of a more ambitious approach to drag nights in the city where a full show, narrative, décor, production value and attention to detail provide a more immersive night.

In the show Dragpunk’s Tacky Alex, will adopt the role of a somewhat sweet, eccentric and entirely quirky grandma, on a stage that will be transformed into her cosy Christmassy living room with tree, fireplace and armchair.

Through the evening, her family – the audience – will listen to her anecdotes as she experiences visits from all sorts of unexpected guests coming in from the cold outside, yet all Grandma Tacky wants is that visit from her daughter. The guests will

Other performers that will appear at the event include Dragpunk's remaining members - Amber Cadaverous, Lilith and Paul Aleksandr - as well as Tanja McKenzie, Dahliah Rivers, Christian Gay and special guest Herr.

The show will also see a performance from Christian Gay and the Ho Ho Hoes featuring performers Mama Mamba, Lene and Abby-Smith from Birmingham's burlesque House of Allure.

In addition there will be a Santa’s Grotto and special Christmas themed cocktail pitchers.

Speaking ahead of the show, Dragpunk's Paul said: "The feeling of the show will be one of nostalgia and classic Christmas warmth mixed with some real quirkiness, weirdness and at times, a lurking darkness.

"The atmosphere of the night will be entirely positive and relaxed, with all photography and filming allowed, and one that fulfils our aim to provide safe spaces for LGBTQ to come, express themselves and meet new people".

Jingle Hells will take place at Birmingham's Nightingale club on December 14.
