Organisers of Stafford Oktoberfest has announced it has been postponed.

Following a safety meeting this morning with Staffordshire police, County Council, health and safety, licensing, Environmental Health and Staffordshire Fire Service the decision was made for the event to be postponed as it would be too difficult to make it Covid secure.

The new date for the event is October 16.

The Bierkeller Schunklers German Bavarian Oompah Band have been rebooked for the event.

Anyone who has already bought a tickets can have a refund or roll them over until next year.

The Stafford Walking Street Markets will still go ahead with measures in place and the rule of six strictly adhered to with track and trace mandatory
