It’s show time for police dog and TV star Cooper

Cooper the Staffordshire Bull Terrier police dog who was recently featured on the Channel 4 Supervet programme will be a guest at this year's Eccleshall Show.

He will make an appearance at the Staffordshire Police stand at the event on August 31.

The two year old is the first rescue Bull Terrier to be used by the force and has been trained in drugs detection.

To date he has been responsible for sniffing out over a quarter of a million pounds worth of drugs.

He has a Twitter account @PoliceDogCooper where his posts are followed by more than 1,205 fans.

Eccleshall Show will be held at Sugnall Hall. Gates open at 10.30 am.
