Glenn Hughes to bring Classic Deep Purple tour to Birmingham

Cannock rock icon Glenn Hughes is set to bring his solo Classic Deep Purple tour to Birmingham.

The show will see the 66-year-old bassist and vocalist perform a variety of hits from Deep Purple's extensive back catalogue.

Glenn, who fronted the MK three and MK four incarnations of Deep Purple, debuted the show in Australia and New Zealand last year and is the first time the musician has performed shows solely comprising of Deep Purple songs.

The eagerly-anticipated set will include hit songs such as Burn, Mistreated, Stormbringer, Getting Tighter and more.

Speaking ahead of the show, Glenn said: "I’m excited to be touring the Classic Deep Purple Live in the UK this October.

"I first toured Classic Deep Purple Live in Australia and New Zealand last year and it went down like a storm".

Glenn Hughes' Classic Deep Purple tour comes to Birmingham's O2 Institute on May 17.

Tickets go on sale from 10am this Friday.
