Burntwood gig for renamed Bad Things

By Leigh Sanders | Staffordshire entertainment | Published:

Cannock punk and ska specialists Playthings have changed their name and announced a 'launch' gig under their new moniker for this weekend.

Bad Things are playing live

The band will now play under the name Bad Things. To relaunch the group, they've announced a gig at Burntwood's The Victoria Inn on Ironstone Road this Saturday. Entry is free, and things kick off around 9pm. Birmingham rockers Underground Storm will provide the support.

Lead guitarist Smuff said: "We recently acquired two members from The Bad Rats in Dougy and Daint, so we amalgamated the two band names and came up with Bad Things. It's a fresh start, new name, and the two different guitars give us more flexibility with our music."

Joining Smuff, rhythm guitarist Daint and drummer Dougy are Mez on vocals and Thom on bass.
