The showcase was held at Wednesbury Museum and Art Gallery on Saturday and about 160 people attended.

Ray Webb, from West Bromwich Rail Model Club, said the event went "really well".

He said: "We had about 160 people in.

"We do it once a year, it brings lots of people of all ages and families.

"It has gone really well.

"Our own model railway club is just 400 yards down the road so a lot of people popped in there after visiting the showcase.

"There were trains running, dealers selling trains and about nine layouts.

"When the weather was bad in the morning we didn't think we'd get many people but we've done well.

"It helps the museum too."
