Rescheduled Hawthorns date announced for Blind Dave film screening

Charity champion 'Blind Dave' Heeley is preparing to host a rescheduled screening of a biopic next week.

The Hawthorns, home of his beloved West Brom, is holding the showcase of ‘7 Days - The story of 'Bind Dave' Heeley on June 12.

Doors will open to the ground at 6pm with the 45-minute film beginning at 7pm.

The film focuses on the seven marathons, in seven days, on seven continents, challenge he undertook in 2008, becoming the first blind person to complete the feat.

Those in attendance will watch Dave’s story be told on the pitchside screens before a live Q&A with the fundraising extraordinaire.

Baggies in attendance will also be in with a chance of winning two Albion season tickets for the 2019/20 campaign.

Adult tickets cost £5 and child tickets £2 with all proceeds going to The Albion Foundation.

Hot food, drinks and alcoholic beverages will be available.

The event show conclude at 8.30pm.

The event will come days after Dave returns from taking part in Sunday's Comrades Marathon, an ultramarathon being held between Durban and Pietermaritzburg in South Africa.

The film screening was rescheduled from last month.
