The song, entitled Better Days, was written by acoustic guitarist Chris Birch with the help of his vocalist wife Natalie.

Before the pandemic the Wolverhampton couple used to play at pubs and clubs across the West Midlands.

Chris aged 28, started writing during lockdown and penned a Christmas song which they placed on Apple Music, Spotify and Facebook.

Now he has written about lockdown and the need to look forward to better days.

Chris said: "We aim to bring positivity back to the community.

"The song was recorded, mixed and mastered and a video filmed at our home during lockdown.

"The video also features items from friends and family about their experiences of lockdown.

"We realise that many people have found lockdown tough but we hope to show that life is not all doom and gloom and that there are better days ahead."

The couple make up an ideal duo with Chris writing the songs and providing the music while Natalie performs vocals.

They met at Natalie's uncle's wedding seven years ago and got married four years ago.

Natalie said: "We are hoping the song will be a big break for us and know that lockdown and the pandemic have been quite hard for many people."

The couple hope to see their song on Apple Music soon for people to download and on Spotify for people to stream.

Meanwhile Chris has started working on more songs.

He said: "We hope to gain more of a following and cannot wait to take our songs out to the pubs and clubs once again and feel there is plenty more to come."
