Ethan Ball, aged six, from Perton, has a love of musical theatre and performing and is an infant musical theatre student at the Georgina Keys Dance Academy.

His mum, Rachel Ball, sent a video of him singing Any Dream Will Do from musical Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat after the composer challenged people to send him their rendition on his Facebook page.

Out of thousands of videos, Ethan's was one of the ones chosen by Andrew Lloyd Webber and he received feedback from the theatre legend for his submission.

Baron Lloyd Webber said: "You're fantastic Ethan, you're going to be a Joseph one of these days.

"May not be quite yet but I expect at your school you will be a great Joseph, so keep at it."

The youngster, who attends Perton First School, was very upset that due to coronavirus his upcoming performance of One Night Only was cancelled.

Mum Rachel added: "He wanted to sing along so I recorded him and uploaded it to the Facebook page.

"We decided to do it just for fun and never imagined getting into the video.

"Seeing the response and the videos being watched by thousands has given Ethan something to smile about.

"We can't thank Andrew Lloyd Webber enough for making Ethan and our family smile."
