Sing-song helps raise £2k for cancer charity

A choral society handed a cheque for £2,000 to Cancer Research.

Chase Choral Society held its annual dinner at the Barns Hotel.

A spokeswoman for the group said: "During last year, choristers under the direction of George Hardy, performed four concerts at Bethany Baptist Chadsmoor, raising an amazing £1,000 for this worthy cause.

"The remaining £1,000 was a very generous, anonymous donation. Many thanks go to the choir and the audiences that have, and continue, to support us.

"Another cause for celebration was to award three members their hard earned lifelong membership certificates."
