Sent to the Slade Are For Life Facebook page by Walsall rocker Noddy Holder and his wife Suzan, the video shows their two-year-old grandson Beau taking after his grandfather and rocking out while in lockdown.

The tot can be seen strumming a guitar and singing to his family sat around him before they give him a round of applause.

A message from Noddy and Suzan to the group says: "Any Slade fans who need cheering up should watch this.

"Our grandson Beau decided to audition for Grandad's new band.

"I'm sure you'll agree the showmanship is clearly in the genes - he's just two.

"Keep on rockin' everyone (...At a recommended social distance of course.)."

The video has racked up more than12,000 views and has been shared hundreds of times by fans.

The Slade Are For Life page, started by John Barker, from Leeds, is described as 'the premier Facebook page celebrating the music of Slade'.

It features hundreds of videos of the band throughout the years as well as regular updates and discussions on band activity.
