Party planned ahead of Staffs Fest

Organisers of a family music event in Stafford are gearing up for the big day.

The countdown to Staffs Fest is on and to get attendees in the mood 'Xodus' tribute to Bob Marley and The Wailers and Reggae Winehouse, a tribute to Amy Winehouse, will be joined by DJ Lady H at a pre-festival event.

Organisers LR Partnership are holding the party at one of the festivals sponsors, The White Eagle Club in Stafford on Friday, March 20.

Lorraine Conkey, director of the festival, said: "We are inviting everyone to come along and dance the night away whether you are coming to the festival or not, this stand alone gig promises to be a fantastic night out.

"Stafford’s music scene is getting really exciting recently with many of the pubs and clubs hosting some great live music nights and I m delighted to host this one off event to bring a bit of reggae to the town.

"The Staffs Fest is a self funded event all the money from the party night will go to help fund the festival."

Both bands and Lady H will be appearing at Staffs Fest during the Spring Bank Holiday.

Tickets are on sale for the pre festival party on the Staffs Fest website or from the bar at The White Eagle Club, Riverway.
