Impossible to break up with RuPaul's Drag Race UK stars as Frock Destroyers single climbs UK charts
While RuPaul searches for the next UK Drag Superstar, it seems he may have uncovered the next big girl group.
Last week’s episode saw the six remaining contestants divided into two rival girl groups - Filth Harmony and The Frock Destroyers - who were both tasked with creating their own spin on original song Break Up (Bye Bye).
Made up of West Bromwich-born queen Baga Chipz, Irish performer Blu Hydrangea and Brighouse queen Divina De Campo, The Frock Destroyers won the main challenge and each took home their own 'RuPeter Badge'.
But their success seemingly hasn't stopped there as their version of Break Up (Bye Bye) began climbing the iTunes chart.
Within hours of release, the single was outperforming Selena Gomez’ comeback track Lose You To Love Me and Ariana Grande’s remix of Lizzo’s Good As Hell.
The Official Charts Company has shared some early figures ahead of Friday’s chart reveal, and the drag trio are on course to crack the official top 20.
Their song is currently on track to reach number 19, one of three new entries in the top 20, alongside Dua Lipa and Krept And Konan.
RuPaul's Drag Race UK continues this Thursday on BBC Three.
