Nick Dewhurst will lead his ensemble at Beacon Street’s Cathedral Hotel on November 20.

Led by Nick on trumpet, flugelhorn and guitar, the rest of the band is made up of a group of musical friends who all met through the Birmingham Conservatoire and West Midlands jazz scene.

On tenor saxophone is Callum Roxburgh, on piano, electric piano and organ is Tom Lindsay, on electric and double bass is Tom Moore, and on drums is Carl Hemmingsley.

Since forming in 2015, the band has played for various jazz clubs and festivals across the Midlands.

A Lichfield Arts spokesman said: "In terms of creativity, and talent the Nick Dewhurst band are at the forefront of the West Midlands burgeoning jazz scene. Although still only young, the ensemble play with a collective sense of momentum and verve that is much more mature. Catch them while you can."

The concert starts at 8pm on November 20, at the Cathedral Hotel on Bore Street.

Tickets for the concert are £12. For further information and to book tickets visit lichfieldarts.org.uk, phone (01543) 262223, or call into the Lichfield Arts Box Office in Donegal House on Bore Street. Tickets will also be available from the hotel on the evening.
