Stage set for Dudley's Party in the Park

Eighties stars will take to the stage in Dudley this weekend – and festival-goers will surely be delighted if the weather stays this warm over the next few days.

The stage was being set up in Himley Park yesterday for Party in the Park II, organised by Dubs Collective.

The event is throwing open its gates at 12pm today with a packed line-up to come across the weekend.

Headlining on Saturday is singer Jaki Graham, with Brit Award nominee Toyah Wilcox and pop band Curiosity Killed The Cat also due to take the stage.

Today sees tribute stars take to the stage including a Human League tribute called The Human League.

And the party continues on Sunday with Quadrophenia Day, with a special meet and greet event with the stars of the cult classic film.

Organiser Cheryl Drew said she was really looking forward to the day – she has put the event together with co-organiser Darren Jones.

She said: "We are really excited to be welcoming everyone to the Dubs Collective Party in the Park II here this weekend at Himley Hall."
