Trixie Mattel to bring new solo show to Birmingham

RuPaul's Drag Race star Trixie Mattel will bring her new show to Birmingham next year.

The season seven contestant and All Stars Three winner will bring her new solo show to they city's Symphony Hall on May 19.

Trixie, the drag character of Milwaukee performer Brian Firkus, previously came to Birmingham's O2 Academy earlier this year as part of the Skinny Legend tour, and the city's Glee Club in 2018 with Now With Moving Parts.

This year has seen the 29-year-old star release brand new single Yellow Cloud, as well as her own makeup range named Trixie Cosmetics.

Trixie originally appeared on season seven of RuPaul's Drag Race alongside the likes of Katya Zamolodchikova, Pearl, and Violet Chachki.

The American performer was eliminated twice during the show, and was invited to perform on spin-off All Stars season due to her popularity among drag fans.

She was crowned the winner of this season, competing against the likes of Shangela, Kennedy Davenport, and Bebe Zahara Benet.

Trixie is well known for her web series UNHhhh created with season seven co-star Katya, as well as its Viceland follow-up The Trixie and Katya Show.

The star has also released two country albums, entitled Two Birds and One Stone.
