We Are What We Overcome

The We Are What We Overcome show, written and performed by Matt McGuinness, takes a look at how men in particular deal with Mental illness as Matt explores his own experiences with it, and chats with the audience afterwards.

The meet and greet after the show is there for people to talk about their own issues with mental health, as well as giving raising money for The Samaritans, Mind and the Mental Health Foundation, who all support the show.

Matt said: “Sometimes you’ve got to find your own way of dealing with Mental Health problems and if the arts and conversation is one way, why not on a stage in front of a room full of strangers.”

Fresh from a successful run at the Edinburgh Fringe and sold out preview shows, music, stories and conversation, shed light on mental health with self-deprecating honesty and dark humour.

The show will begin at 7.30pm on Friday, April 19.
