Black Sabbath exhibition coming to Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery

Birmingham metal icons Black Sabbath will be celebrated in an exhibition in the city's museum and art gallery.

The exhibition will pay homage to the fan's 50-year relationship with the band and feature historical photos, ephemera, and memorabilia sourced directly from the band members as well as portraits and stories from the Home of Metal fan archive.

Speaking ahead of the event, frontman Ozzy Osbourne commented that is it an honour to be a part of the exhibition, presented by Home of Metal.

"I am just a guy from Birmingham who’s been blessed to have had such dedicated fans throughout my career," he said.

"Like I’ve always said ‘I am nothing without them.”

Former Black Sabbath guitarist Tony Iommi agreed that the fans are what made the legendary group so successful.

"Fans are our lifeblood, they've always been there to support us,“ he said.

Home of Metal presents Black Sabbath - 50 years will be at Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery from June 22 to September 29.

This is a ticketed exhibition, prices will be announced when booking is open.
