They will be joined by 80s music icon Howard Jones, Gorgon City, Stefflon Don, Kelli-Leigh, Jax Jones and Kim Petras at the two-day event taking place in the city's Gay Village this May.

More acts are set to be announced for the celebration.

The artists will appear across six different stages, including the Dance Arena, Women's Arena, and Alt Club stage.

Last year, the festival featured live sets from the likes of Dua Lipa, Gabrielle, Basement Jaxx, Sophie Ellis-Bextor, Jamelia and Boney M.

Birmingham Pride is the UK's largest two-day LGBTQ festival. It has taken place for more than 20 years, and in the last five years has raised more than £300,000 for local community projects.

The event features an array of live music, arts performances, stalls and the annual pride parade.

Talking ahead of the event festival director, Lawrence Barton, said this year's Pride is set to be 'bigger and better than ever'

"There will be a host of exciting announcements to come over the coming months," he said.

"This year’s theme is 'be you' which is particularly significant in its timing and is an unashamed celebration of people’s uniqueness, and their right to be who they are without fear of prejudice or hate - regardless of their gender, sexuality, colour, religion or sexual identity."

Birmingham Pride Festival will take place on May 26 and 27.
