Budding singers will try out for the ITV show at Cuban Exchange from 9pm this evening as the programme searches for solo artists, duos, and trios who think they have what it takes.

Auditions will also take place at Walsall tomorrow at The Victoria Katz from 7.30pm.

Successful entrants from the Black Country and Staffordshire will be following in the footsteps of Jason Jones, who reached the semi-finals of the last edition of the show.

Jason, from Burntwood, who works at the RAC Call Centre off the M6 in Wednesbury, wowed judges with his opening performance of Zayn's Pillowtalk and made it all the way to the final eight before being eliminated.

Previous winners of the show include the likes of Leanne Mitchell, Andrea Begley, Jermain Jackman, Stevie McCrorie, Kevin Simm and Mo Adeniran.

All singers will need to prepare one or two a cappella songs, with a backing track or musical instrument. Backing tracks will need to be on an electronic device.
