The Wolverhampton singer has returned to the stage over the past few weeks following recent health issues which led to a hysterectomy.

She showed she was on fine form during a show at London's Palladium Theatre on Friday night as part of her I Love Soulsville tour.

And she was joined by family and friends along with some famous faces backstage to celebrate.

She posted pictures on Twitter posing with the Dudley-born actor and also former Arsenal and England footballer Ian Wright.

She tweeted to fans: "So amazing having my family and friends by my side on Friday at the @PalladiumLondon Love you guys!"

It has been a busy few weeks for the Queen of soul who lit up Wolverhampton when she returned to the city last month to see an am-dram show by the theatre group which helped set her on the path to stardom.

The singer was at the Arena Theatre in the city centre for the first night of Wolverhampton Youth Music Theatre's production of the musical Memphis.

The former Highfields School pupil said taking part in amateur dramatics when she was younger helped to shape her own stage performances.

Last week she had made an emotional but energetic return to the Midlands as her tour stopped off at the Symphony Hall in Birmingham.

She gave a shout out to her family who were in the audience and was moved to tears as she made reference to having to reschedule her tour dates due to illness earlier this year.

She also posted a video online after the show thanking fans for their support.
