Two friends who were reminiscing about the 90s TV show Seinfeld hit upon their own comedy gold when they posed with the DVD covers in an epic game of sleeveface.

Ben O’Brien, from Baltimore, and his pal Kelly Lasserre created four images with “a lot of trial and error”, lining up O’Brien’s hands and body with the faces of characters Jerry Seinfeld, George Costanza, Kramer, and Elaine Benes on the box set.

The results, shared on Twitter and Instagram, hit a chord with people where they have been retweeted and liked thousands of times.

O’Brien called it his “life’s greatest work”.

The duo had been laughing so much about one episode – where Jerry jokingly smothers hospitalised George with a pillow – that they decided to get the DVDs to watch it in full. Then creativity struck.

“George was the first one we did and I think it took us by surprise how funny it was.”

“If you look at the Kramer one closely it’s immaculately lined up, as well. We were also laughing hysterically the whole time which made it take longer.”
