Food businesses across the West Midlands have received new food hygiene ratings in the latest set of inspections - with one in Walsall and another in Sandwell recieving just one star, see our story for which ones.

New Food Standards Agency ratings have been given out to establishments across Walsall, Sandwell, Dudley and South Staffordshire judging their attention to detail on cleanliness, food safety and food handling.

The ratings are designed to give potential customers an idea of the hygiene standards at food businesses across the region, with a rating of five being the best possible result.

A score of five is considered 'very good', four 'good', three 'generally satisfactory', two 'some improvement necessary', one 'major improvement necessary' and zero 'urgent improvement required'.

Walsall:

Restaurants, cafes and canteens

Four Star Rating: 442 Bar Grill at 442 Noose Lane, Willenhall. Rated on November 3.

Two Star Rating: Mirchi at 79 Turnberry Road, Bloxwich. Rated on October 30.

One Star Rating: Hot & Crusty Pizza at 52 King Street, Darlaston. Rated on November 5.
