Dr Jenny Gilbert is the guest of the Friends of Dudley Archives and Local History Service on Thursday, February 6.

The talk, which will explain how the trade introduced fashion into working class wardrobes and everyday life, is taking place at the archives in Tipton Road at 7.30pm.

The talk is free for members and £2 for others.

The group helps provide volunteers and raises funds for the purchase of documents and books for the archives. It holds monthly meetings on various local history subjects.
