Tony Graham shows off some of his wares at Spice it Up, a Jamaican takeaway in Park Village, Wolverhampton

Spice It Up is a new takeaway in the Park Village area of Wolverhampton and is offering the finest in Jamaican cuisine such as Ackee and Saltfish and jerk chicken.

The takeaway was set up by Tony Graham in October after the 53-year-old decided to make a career out of his love for cooking.

He said: “I’ve always been into my food and I was making meals for festivals and functions such as weddings and parties, which people have always really enjoyed.

“I decided that I would start my own takeaway for this type of food once I found the right location and I managed to find the right location in Park Village.

“It’s a very cultural neighbourhood, similar to where I live in Birmingham, with a lot of Caribbean people around there, so it just works.”

Mr Graham has lived in the region since moving to Birmingham from St Margarets in Jamaica in 1998.

He said: “It’s been a dream for me to do this.

If you want to try something authentic and Jamaican, we can give you that, so please give us a try.”

Spice It Up can be found at 2b Prosser Street.
