Dudley & South Staffordshire Campaign for Real Ale (CAMRA) have been working to compile a list of pubs and breweries offering a takeaway food or drink service in their communities.

Ryan Hunt, chairman of the branch, said it was about helping encourage public interaction during the social distancing restrictions and look out for vulnerable people.

He said: "It's allowing people to have that contact with the pub that they would normally have and can't have at the moment.

"For example, let's say that the individual didn't go into that pub for a period of time, then you know somebody would know something was wrong."

Pubs such as the Court House in Dudley, the Craft Inn in Bearwood, and the Old Swan in Netherton are providing takeaway and delivery services for ales and beers.

Other pubs such as Saltwells in Netherton and Crosswells in Langley are doing a takeaway food service, with Sunday roasts one of the items on sale.

Ryan said it was fantastic that all the different pubs and breweries were working to provide these services.

He said: "They're not all duplicating the same service - some are offering bottle delivery, some are offering if you take your own containers they'll fill it up with a cask product.

"It's a way that we could actually buy something that's a little bit different to a packet supermarket meal or a cheap beer replacement or drink replacement and you can still get a local product."
