A West Midlands photographer has been shortlisted for a prestigious business award.

Denise Maxwell

Denise Maxwell is one of three people shortlisted for Arts & Media Leader of the Year at the Black British Business Awards.

Denise, who lives in Birmingham, is the director and lead photographer at Lensi Photography, having taken up photography full time 10 years ago after working at the NHS.

Her portfolio, which started in events and portrait photography, has extended to many genres including sports, fashion, weddings, red carpet events, food and music.

She has worked with the likes of Barack Obama, Tom Hanks, Oprah Winfrey and Usain Bolt and been featured in publications such as Vogue, the Independent and OK magazine.

She joins finalists in 12 different categories who have been selected for their outstanding personal and professional achievements and how they embody the Black British community’s ability to prevail, excel, and lead through adversity.

Winners for each category, as well as the Black British Business Person of the Year, will be revealed at the Black British Business Awards Digital Ceremony taking place on October 2.
