Alice in Chains, Arena Birmingham - pictures

American rockers Alice In Chains played to a raucous crowd in Birmingham next year.

Forming in 1987, Alice In Chains has garnered multiple Grammy nominations and sold more than 20 million albums worldwide and amassed a die-hard international fan base whose members number in the millions.

The group have released six studio albums, including Rainier Frog which came out this year.

Alongside Nirvana, Pearl Jam and Soundgarden, Alice In Chains was one of the Big Four to emerge from Seattle in the 1990s and went on to change the sound of modern rock.

The quartet are best known for songs such as Nutshell, Them Bones, Down in a Hole, Rooster, and Man in the Box.
