Birmingham comedy gig for I'm A Celebrity runner-up Emily Atack

She's a celebrity who was close to screaming 'get me out of here' in the Australian jungle recently, and now she is screaming 'get me in there' as she prepares to launch her debut stand-up comedy tour - opening it up in Birmingham.

Emily Atack finished second in this year's I'm A Celebrity ... Get Me Out Of Here, missing out to former Blues manager Harry Redknapp in Sunday night's final.

But she managed to win over the hearts of many along the way, building on her acting roles in the likes of The Inbetweeners, Tracey Ullman's Show and Dad's Army.

Now she is hitting the road in 2019 with her debut comedy show Talk Thirty To Me as she prepares to enter her fourth decade on Earth.

Emily going into the I'm A Celebrity jungle

The show is a memoir - encompassing anecdotes, impressions and her experiences in showbiz and the wider world. It looks at the anxieties brought about by social media, the never-ending search for 'the one' including a difficult year for her personally, and being a millennial.

Her popularity is at a high right now, with 3.4 million voting for her in the final of this year's I'm a Celebrity on the weekend - the highest watched series in the show's history.

Emily rose to fame playing Will's love interest Charlotte Hinchcliffe in the cult hit The Inbetweeners on Channel 4. Since then she has built up TV and film credits that culminated with her starring alongside Catherine Zeta-Jones, Bill Nighy, Michael Gambon and Toby Jones in the 2016 big screen remake of Dad's Army, as well as the 2017 Raindance Film Festival-selected Lies We Tell with Gabriel Byrne, Mark Addy and Harvey Keitel.

Her Talk Thirty To Me tour opens at Birmingham's Old Rep theatre on April 11, 2019. Tickets, costing £21, are available here.
