Michael McDonald to play Birmingham

Singer-songwriter Michael McDonald will entertain fans in Birmingham next year.

The star's career has seen him perform with bands such as Steely Dan and The Doobie Brothers.

Over the years, he has also worked with the likes of David Cassidy, Van Halen, Patti LaBelle, Aretha Franklin and Toto.

Michael has won a total of five Grammy Awards.

From his solo career, Michael is best known for songs such as On My Own (with Patti LaBelle), I Keep Forgettin' and Sweet Freedom.

While with The Doobie Brothers, he sang the vocals on hits such as Real Love, Takin' It To The Streets and What A Fool Believes.

Michael will play the Symphony Hall on March 13.

Tickets will be priced between £40 and £46.
