Shaggy, Chaka Demus and Pliers and Maxi Priest among acts to play Birmingham reggae show

A star-studded line-up of reggae acts will be coming to Birmingham for a Christmas celebration.

Chaka Demus and Pliers, Shaggy and Maxi Priest are all set to play the Genting Arena show titled I Love Reggae.

Also performing will be One Love stage show star Mitchell Brunings.

Chaka Demus and Pliers is a duo founded in Kingston, Jamaica, back in 1992.

They are best known for songs such as Murder She Wrote and Tease Me.

Maxi Priest, meanwhile, is from Lewisham in London.

He is best known for his cover of Cat Stevens' Wild World, as well as Close To You and That Girl (ft Shaggy).

Shaggy is the second act on the bill to hail from Kingston, Jamaica.

The 48-year-old star is known for an array of songs, such as It Wasn't Me, Boombastic, Angel, Hey Sexy Lady and Oh Carolina.

The show will take place at the Genting Arena on Saturday, December 16.

Tickets go on sale this Friday at 10am.
