Singer/songwriter Paloma Faith will play this year's Forest Live at Cannock Chase.

Hackney-born Paloma, aged 36, is best known for songs such as Only Love Can Hurt Like This, Picking Up The Pieces, Never Tear Us Apart, Crybaby and Stone Cold Sober.

The annual outdoor concerts, which raise funds for The Forestry Commission, have in previous years seen acts such as Tom Jones, Rick Astley, Robert Plant, Blondie, Paloma Faith, James Bay and Elbow perform.

Macbeth - Stafford Castle

Macbeth

Shakespeare's iconic tragedy Macbeth is set to be performed at Stafford Castle this weekend.

Starring Nabil Stuart, Rosie Hilal, Daniel Cahill and Ceri-Lyn Cissone, the production comes to the medieval castle as part of Stafford Festival Shakespeare.

The tale follows the story of warrior Macbeth, who murders King Duncan after three devilish witches prophesise that he will rule the land. Alongside the murderous Lady Macbeth, he plots to secure the royal legacy, though all turns sour when ghoulish visions and suspicion from the pair's dearest friends plague them at all times.

Demi Lovato - Arena Birmingham

Demi Lovato

Demi Lovato is set to bring her new tour to Birmingham this Friday.

The Grammy-nominated, multi-platinum singer/songwriter will play Arena Birmingham in support of her new album.

Birmingham’s Creative Craft show

The Creative Craft Show arrives at Birmingham NEC this weekend.

The event is a haven for knitting, cross stitch, paper crafting, jewellery & dressmaking and stitching enthusiasts.

You’ll find everything from kits, charts and patterns to fabrics, yarns, threads and buttons plus opportunities to glean advice from industry experts.

A Celebration of The Flapper with God Damn, Them Wolves, Victor and False Grails - The Flapper, Birmingham

The Flapper

God Damn, Them Wolves, Victor and False Grails will play Birmingham's The Flapper this weekend.

&U&I and Bovine will also play the venue on Saturday as part of The Final Weekend event.

The Flapper had been due to cease trading on June 30, but owners have accepted a 12-month lease extension from landlords Baskerville Wharf, while they review their redevelopment plans previously submitted to the council.

They will be supported by political activist and singer/songwriter Billy Bragg.

The pair are best known for hit songs during their time with music group The Beautiful South, such as Perfect 10, A Little Time, You Keep It All In, and Rotterdam.

Damian Marley - O2 Academy, Birmingham

Damian Marley will play Birmingham this Saturday.

The reggae icon and son of Bob Marley is coming to the second city on his his first solo UK tour since the release of the critically acclaimed album Stony Hill.

Kingston-born Damian, aged 39, is the youngest son of Bob Marley. His mother is former Miss World Cindy Breakspeare.

Songs Damian is known for include Welcome to Jamrock, Road To Zion, Affairs Of The Heart, Set Up Shop, Pimpa's Paradise, All Night, Beautiful and more.

The annual Charity Family Vintage Show held in Shrewsbury this weekend, will feature vintage vehicle displays of every kind.

See displays of vintage vehicles of every kind including cars, motor bikes, tractors, military vehicles, steam engines, stationary engines, Land Rovers, Commercials and many othr static exhibits.

Each year features a special tractor and in 2018 it will be the Nuffield and Leyland tractors.

There is something of interest for all the family including craft and trade stalls, autojumble, fairground rides, go karts, face painting, juggling, shire horses and the well frequented beer tent and refreshment stands.

Armed Forces Day Festival - RAF Museum, Cosford

Join RAF Muaseum Cosford this Saturday to celebrate 100 years of the Royal Air Force this Armed Forces Day, and the official opening of the newly transformed museum.

The event will see live music from the likes of The Jive Aces, The Polka Dot Dolls, the North London Military Wives Choir and the RAF Halton Voluntary Band.

The whole family will be able to dress in uniform worn throughout the last 100 year and take a souvenir photo, as well as take part in craft activities, tours, and a reading of Sisters in Spitfires by poet Alison Hill.

The 24-year-old singer-songwriter from Hertford will play the Cannock Chase show on the last of the event's three days.

George, who is renowned for his deep, rich vocals, is best known for songs such as Budapest, Blame It On Me, Listen To The Man, Shotgun and Paradise.

Compton Hospice Colour Blast - East Park, Wolverhampton

Compton Colour Blast

The annual Colour Blast 5K returns to East Park this Sunday.

The charity event will see runners arrive at several stations around the park, where they'll be covered from head to toe in brightly coloured powdered paint.

With no clocks to track your time and no official ‘first place’ to claim, you can walk, jog or run the 5K.

Following last year’s visit to Stafford Castle, Heritage Opera returns to Stafford Shakespeare Festival with Carmen.

The opera follows the the passionate story of the fateful love triangle between Carmen, the wild gypsy girl, Don José, the brooding, obsessive soldier and Escamillo, the strutting Toreador.

The show will be presented by a fully professional cast, a local children’s chorus, and supported by a six-piece chamber orchestra
