New images show the building fenced off as work is carried out in the popular beauty spot in phases.

The repair and maintenance work is mainly being carried out on the conservatory building, but other parts of the park will be worked on – including the removal of a small green house and hazardous trees.

A spokesman for Wolverhampton Council said: "The essential repairs and maintenance at West Park is mainly for the conservatory but also for other buildings in the park and will be a carried out in phases.

"The work includes a complete restoration and redecoration, the removal of the small greenhouse which is unsafe and beyond repair, trees deemed to be a hazard, and a fence will be erected to create an enclosed area in the park.”
