Children can be creative and getting messy with sticky sessions on Saturday(15).

Youngsters aged three and over and their parents can join the free fun at Dudley Museum between 10am and 12pm, and at the Red House Glass Cone between 1.30pm and 3.30pm.

On Tuesday(18) and Thursday(20), older children, aged seven and over, can enjoy animal-themed fused glass sessions at the Red House Glass Cone. The sessions run at 10.30am, 11.30am, 1pm and 2pm, and it costs £6.20 to take part.

There will be a knights and princesses themed fun day at Dudley Museum between 10.30am and 2.30pm on Wednesday(19). Children can make a craft item and join in with games and fun during the session, which is suitable for ages three and over and costs £3.60 per child. The cone will hold a whiskers and waddlers craft activity, where children can take inspiration from their favourite animals. The session is suitable for aged three and up and runs from 10.30am to 2.30pm.

On Saturday, February 22, families can learn about fossils and natural history with two free sessions. Children aged five and over can have a look at fossil ID and learn how to recognise different fossils from 10.30am to 12pm. There will also be a talk about unearthing natural history from 2pm to 3pm, suitable for children aged seven and over.

Councillor Ian Kettle, Dudley Council's cabinet member for museums, said: "There’s lots to do for children and families at our museums this half-term, with drop-in crafts, fused glass sessions and themed fun days.

"Children’s imaginations can be inspired with the fun knights and princesses session at Dudley and they can try their hand at creating glass in our iconic Red House Glass Cone."
