Challenge Academy will run between Tuesday, February 18, and Thursday, February 20, and is suitable for children aged four and over, as well as adults.

Activities include traversing through the high and low ropes courses, climbing, and a free-fall like experience leaping down the PowerFan Descender.

For the younger children there is a new treetops nets course, which opened last year, and bushcraft activities including fire lighting and nature art project.

Morning sessions will take place between 10am and 12pm, while afternoon sessions run between 1pm to 3pm.

Challenge Academy's managing director, Mel Ellis, said: "There's a lot of research that has been done by experts about the benefits of outdoor play to children's wellbeing, in terms of physical and mental health and this is something we promote at Challenge Academy’s Baggeridge Adventure Hub through our activities.

"We have different challenges for all ages and abilities and can adapt our activities to suit, but once visitors overcome the obstacles, it does boost their confidence and challenge them physically and mentally.

"We are all about having fun, being adventurous and learning new skills, and learning something new."

Challenge Academy has been shortlisted for an outdoor learning award last year.

All children under 16 will need to be accompanied by an adult.

Each session costs £15 per person. For more information and to buy tickets, visit www.challengeacademy.co.uk.
