Coronation Street star Sam Aston was in attendance, as well as Wednesbury North Councillor Elaine Costigan.
Visitors could enjoy live music acts on stage, as well as inflatables and stalls.
Spencer Thrower, one of the organisers for the event, said he was pleased with how the inaugural switch-on had been received.
"For our first event at the park it was quite busy," he told us.
"Bosses from Gallagher Park told us that they estimated the event had increased footfall by £1,500 to £2,000 on the day.
"Mine and my friend's company, Ant Event Management, worked alongside Bescot Markets, Jellylegz Bouncy Castle Hire and more to make the event a reality.
"We do this voluntarily, just because we enjoy what we do.
"We hope to return for years to come and to make the event bigger and better than ever."
